Details of the Day: I wanted a romantic, elegant, wintry wedding and was really focused on complementing the gold that was already in the ballroom of the Nassau Inn. I chose ivory and greenery mostly for florals in order to bring in a feminine softness. The bridesmaids were in a wine/burgundy color so I included cranberries in my bouquet to complement their dresses. I also included white tipped pine cones in the bouquets, centerpieces and aisle pieces. For my dress, I was going for a timeless look that was also glamorous and picturesque.
Favorite Part: My favorite part of the day was the snow and the pictures we took outside. The forecast didn’t call for much but we ended up with 6 inches in Central Jersey. It was the perfect touch to an already wonderful day.
If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be? The Battle of Princeton was scheduled for the same day as my wedding! It ended up not interfering, but the entire area outside the ballroom was flooded with British soldiers.
Advice for other Brides: Pick vendors that you trust. It is a lot less stress when you pick people that you know will do a good job and will execute your plan perfectly.
