Details of the day: Our theme was ‘timeless & enchanting’. Our wedding colors were rose gold, blush/nude, and grey and it paired perfectly with the crisp November weather. We were also blessed with a gorgeous sunny day. I can still remember waking up to a beautiful sunrise in disbelief that our wedding day had finally arrived. Our beauty team was in full effect- 3 makeup artists and 3 hair stylists. During the prep, I was relaxed and just enjoyed the getting-ready bonding time with all the girls in our matching robes. A treat was when Jimmy sent his groomsmen dressed in their vests & bow-ties only to deliver his letter to me while Ginuwine’s “Pony” played in the background. It was hysterical and a great mood starter before the ceremony. Our florist, Laurie, did a stunning job. I’m not a huge flower girl but I knew I wanted a mix of high and low centerpieces. Laurie did a flawless job incorporating florals (without it being too floral-y for my liking). The tall centerpieces were beautiful rose gold painted curly willow branches with ivory orchids with hanging tea lights in a mercury vase. The lower centerpieces were three nesting vases with a mix of blush and cream flowers and tea lights. Me and my sister, who was the Maid Of Honor, had bouquets while the bridesmaids had matching corsets. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue to have our reception. The Venetian are masters at hosting events; Nora, our Maître D ran a tight ship and made sure not even our parents had to worry about a thing. The day couldn’t have been more perfect than what I have been dreaming of my whole life!
Your favorite part: Other than marrying my true love and perfect match while surrounded by our family & friends. My favorite part was nailing a surprise dance for my new hubby with some of my girls! Dancing was a huge part of my life when I was younger so I felt like I just had to do a special performance dedicated to my husband. Me and the girls started secret rehearsals in the summer and have no idea how we kept it from the groom. I couldn’t have pulled it off without the girls, The Venetian, and our DJ — they were in on it, too!
If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be? I would change that it to be an all day reception, so the party would never end!
Advice for other brides: During the planning process, know your wedding colors, theme, and have budget planned out before anything! Do this before you shop for vendors, venue, etc. Have a list of what you know you want and want can be cut out. This will all help the booking process to run more smoothly and without any stress. Make sure at some point during the reception, for you and your husband to take a look around and soak everything in. It really does end in the blink of an eye and you’ll regret not living in every moment. Don’t even worry if something didn’t quite turn out the way you wanted, no one will know that except you! Your guests will think everything was perfect, any way. Don’t let those thoughts take away from your once in a lifetime day! If funds/time off allows, take your honeymoon right after the wedding! It was the perfect treat to finally relax and enjoy being a newlywed couple.
