Details of the day:
Our engagement and wedding were a true fairytale beginning with our engagement party in Anguila.
The wedding day started as I got ready at my parents’ house in Mendham with my two sisters, mom and dad. Vito dressed at the Short Hills Hilton. As we prepared, our groomsmen and bridesmaids arrived. I had 10 bridesmaids and he had groomsmen, so we had a LARGE wedding party!
My sisters presented me with a gift from Vito. It was an original production sketch of Cinderella holding up her dress for the ball. It was amazing and he wrote the most beautiful note to go along with it.
As he prepared, his groomsmen presented him with my gift which was a piece I commissioned an artist to create. It was a painting of Minnie Mouse on the lagoon of the Grand Floridian writing in the sand, “Happily Ever After.” (We got engaged at the Grand Floridian.)
After dressing in my full-length Monique Lhuillier skirt and lace corset top with my Anne Barge belt and cathedral-length veil and blusher, I was ready to go. There were two white limos and a white Rolls Royce waiting in the driveway. My dad and I got into the Rolls and the bridesmaids were transferred in the limos.
When we arrived at the church, six trumpeters were waiting to greet me out of the car. (They had greeted all the guests as they arrived as well). As I walked down the aisle, the pews had beautiful Tiffany bows and the altar was decorated with gorgeousl flowers. The priest was amazing and he gave a beautiful homily that included props that included an umbrella that he had made, and he gave each guest one as they left the church.
As Vito and I exited the church, the trumpeters played again. Then we climbed into a horse-drawn carriage to take us away as guests released balloons.
The day was truly a fairytale that ended happily ever after.

My favorite part of the wedding was seeing Vito’s face when I walked down the aisle!
