Details of the day: Our day was in full swing once hair and make up started. The dress was perfect. I knew as soon as I tried it on that it was the one and was so surprised because it was not white. Then we were headed to our first look location. Finding the perfect headband was by far the hardest part! We had scoped out a nearby barn and were so excited to take our pictures there. It was extremely hot but everyone, dripping with sweat, posed for amazing photos. We were so glad that shade came in just in time for our outdoor ceremony. Rev. Jeffries made the ceremony light and funny. She really got to know us over the prior few months and made it a personal experience. Once we entered the venue everyone was up and dancing right away.
Favorite part: Our favorite part of the day was all our homemade rustic details. From the wood burned table numbers and the painted outdoor signs to the photo display. Our small touches were everywhere. As we looked around and saw all our hard work with the addition of the flowers it was simply our dream come true.
Advice to brides: Enjoy the day! When you wake up have some time to relax and eat breakfast built into your day. Once everything gets going it goes so fast. Let others be in charge of checking to make sure everything is going smoothly. Get the pictures you want, enjoy the food, and get out on the dance floor. Don’t miss a minute of your big day!
