Trisha and Michael’s Wedding at The Wilshire Grand Hotel

Details of the Day: We wanted a “spring” and colorful theme. The bridesmaids wore floral dresses with hints of green, pinks, and purples. We also accented with gold. Groomsmen wore gold vests with their black ties, while the invites matched this theme with a black background and gold foil.

The Venue: We fell in love with The Wilshire Grand Hotel the minute we walked in. It just had that “wow” factor. We also wanted a place that could do only one wedding at a time, and have a ceremony, reception, and hotel space all in one. The day went perfect!

The Menu: We had six cocktail stations, along with passed appetizers, two ice sculptures, and a martini station. Dinner was chicken, salmon, or filet mignon. We also had a full viennese hour with desserts, chocolate fountain, cakes, cake pops, chocolate martinis, popcorn, and soft pretzels. The wedding cake had alternating layers of vanilla with cannoli filling, and chocolate with chocolate hazelnut filling.

The Gown: I always envisioned a fitted gown, but when I tried this gown on it was everything I wanted. I felt like a princess.

Favorite Moment: Favorite moment was when the ceremony was over, we were brought down into the bridal suite by ourselves to have a moment together as a newly married couple. They brought us all our own food down from the cocktail hour so we could try everything and it was the best moment of the night to just sit and be alone with my new husband.

Favorite Detail: Food and music was most important for us. It is what we remember anytime we go to a wedding.

First Dance Song: Perfect by Ed Sheeran

Advice for other Brides: Take a moment the day of the wedding to really savor the moment with your new husband. Sit back and try (even though its hard) to look at the wedding happening around you. Everyone came to this awesome party for you!
