The New Guest Book Idea We Can’t Help But Love…

Posted on December 18, 2014 by Denise Potter

Every so often, a wedding detail comes around that just knocks our socks off…and this is one of those moments.

The guest book–which used to be the boring book of blank lines that wedding guests sign in order to receive a thank you note–has transformed into a real wedding keepsake, with creative and crafty alternatives popping up practically overnight.

Today, brides can have guests sign their names on anything from a Christmas tree ornament, to a champagne bottle and beyond, making it both fun for the guests and unique to the bride and groom’s individual personalities or wedding theme.

The latest and greatest idea comes from Martha Stewart Weddings and The Paper Source.

What a better way to make signing the guestbook an interactive experience (and yield a fabulously useful keepsake) than to have guests sign a calendar on the day they were born!

Think of it this way: You (the ever-thoughtful yet busy newlywed) will never forget a birthday. And you’ll be able to keep this wedding keepsake forever; mark it with fun memories prior to the wedding (The Day We Met…The Day We Said I LOVE YOU…Our Engagement…Our Wedding Date…etc.) and enjoy looking back for years to come.
