How They Met: We met on an online dating website in 2014. After a week or so of phone calls and texts, we had our first date on September 3, 2014.

Their Engagement Story:  We had signed the lease to our first apartment together just a few weeks prior, so life was a bit hectic. After an exhausting day of packing, we went out for milkshakes to Jersey Freeze. After ordering our milkshakes, we walked back to the car. I got in immediately, but Mike was a little slow, though I thought nothing of it. I also didn’t think anything of it when he asked me to get him a napkin from the glove compartment, since he always keeps napkins there. I opened up the glove compartment and he asked we what something was in the corner. I didn’t see it at first, but when I did, it was a box. He asked me what it was, and I replied, “I don’t know.” I opened it, and there was a breathtakingly beautiful diamond ring sitting in the box. He took it from me and simply asked, “Meghan, will you marry me?” It was so simple, and so absolutely perfect. It’s exactly how I wanted that moment to happen – simple, intimate, Mike. Every time I look down at my ring, I’m brought back to that moment. It’s just one of the many, many happy moments I have shared with him, and one of the many, many happy moments we will share for the rest of our lives.
