Maybe you bonded about being dog lovers on your first date. Or perhaps your pooch was part of your proposal. Naturally, you can’t imagine your wedding day without a little puppy love. No matter how you decide to incorporate your four-legged friend, your big day is sure to be pawsome!

1. Name Your Signature Cocktail in Your Pup’s Honor

Couple: Lindsey & Jeffrey
Dogs: Tucker & Bear
Venue: Linwood Country Club
Idea: This couple chose to keep their dogs at home while still letting them have a presence at their wedding. Creating a cute sign with an illustration of your dog next to a description of your signature cocktails is a simple way to acknowledge your fur baby.

2. Add A Figurine of Your Dog on Your Cake

Couple: Nick & Taylor
Dog: Winnie
Venue: Maritime Parc, Jersey City
Idea: Winnie made an appearance during the couple’s wedding portraits, she was incorporated into the signature cocktails list (the Winnie-Jini was an espresso martini), and an adorable figurine of her was placed on their cake with a little chunk missing to make it look like she ate it.

3. Put Your Dog’s Face On Your Cocktail Napkins

Couple: Erica & Logan
Dog: Fenway
Venue: Smithville Inn, Galloway
Idea: An illustration of Fenway was on the cocktail napkins along with the phrase “Drinks on me! Love, Fenway.” Fenway was also part of this couple’s engagement, so of course he needed to be present in some way on the big day.

Couple: Danielle & Andrew
Dog: Luna
Venue: Sea Shell Resort, Long Beach Island
Idea: The venue’s palm trees, pool, private beach and outdoor tiki bars gave their wedding a tropical vibe right here in New Jersey. But it was their beloved dog, Luna, who played a special role (and stole the show!) as the tail-wagging flower pup.

Couple: Cassandra & Louis
Dog: George
Venue: Natirar
Idea: “Our biggest detail of the day was our dog, George, being part of the wedding party,” says Cassandra. “He was there during our first look and walked down the aisle with Louis at the ceremony. He had his own tuxedo and everything! We definitely couldn’t have gone through with the day without him there with us,” Cassandra says. His trainer, Elena Miller from Dogs Unleashed K9 Training, brought him.

Couple: Kourtney & Dylan
Dog: Apollo
Venue: private residence
Idea: Shortly after the couple bought a house together, they also brought home a Goldendoodle puppy named Apollo. Love, Apollo.”

Idea: You walk your dog every day so why should your wedding day be any different? New Jersey gown designer Justin Alexander Warshaw had a lavish wedding in Italy, but first, he and his bride-to-be Kelsey had a micro-wedding in Westfield, where they reside. Before the vows, they walked their dog, Irving, through town while in their wedding attire—which provided some great memories (and photos).
