Posted on August 12, 2024 by New Jersey Bride

Their Story

Lauren and Brandon tied the knot at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. They met as college students in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Lauren at Lycoming College and Brandon at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. One night, they ended up at the same party.

“We immediately became friends, bonding over the fact that we were the only two people there from New Jersey,” she says. “Over the next few months we became so close, doing absolutely everything together, and then in May we started dating.”

The Proposal

Brandon proposed during a trip to Stowe, Vermont. “We are very outdoorsy and love to take trips that allow us to adventure,” Lauren says. “So, of course, Brandon took advantage of our snow shoeing excursion early in the week to pop the question.” He took her by complete surprise.

Choosing the Venue

“It was romantic, elegant, and most importantly convenient for us and our guests,” Lauren says of Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

Details of the Day

The couple wanted modern elegance with a minimalistic color palette of black and white with the exception of bridesmaids in rose-gold sequin gowns.

The all-white florals were limited to the reception area in order to create an entirely new visual experience for guests upon entering the ballroom.

Cocktail hour offered a raw bar complete with an ice sculpture, an Italian pasta station, and several passed hors d’oeuvres. For the main course, guests enjoyed an autumn salad and a filet and shrimp duo accompanied by au gratin potatoes and roasted vegetables.

The couple decided to skip out on a traditional wedding cake and instead opted for fresh chocolate chip cookies in a warm skillet topped with vanilla ice cream.

Lauren wore a custom Maggie Sottero ball gown she says exuded “fairytale princess vibes.” “It was something completely out of the ordinary for me which is why I loved it so much,” Lauren says.
