Alyson and John got married on May 9, 2025, at The Venetian.

Their Story

Their love story started in the halls of Lodi High School. “We’re high school sweethearts who started dating at 16 and have been inseparable ever since,” says Alyson.

“Growing up together, we’ve shared so many milestones from graduations, first jobs, and everything in between.”

“Building a life side by side has been the greatest adventure and saying ‘I do’ felt like the beautiful next step in our continuing love story.”

The Proposal

“After seven years of dating, we planned a trip into New York City to visit the Summit One Vanderbilt building. It is a beautiful glass observatory overlooking the city.”

“It was there that John asked me to marry him with views of the Empire State Building behind us! He had a surprise photographer there to capture the moment and our time there.”

Choosing the Venue

“We chose The Venetian for its luxurious, elegant atmosphere and the incredible food — from the over-the-top cocktail hour to the delicious entrées and the unforgettable Viennese extravaganza!”

Details of the Day

“Our wedding was lavender, white, and greenery-themed with LED letters of our last name that tied everything together,” says Alyson. “We had a photo booth, picture frame favors, and my 4th graders wrote marriage advice for each table. And of course, custom Squishmallows of us sat beside the cake!”

Favorite Moment

“One of our favorite moments was doing a t-shirt toss instead of the traditional bouquet toss. It was so fun, unexpected, and had everyone up on their feet for our custom made exclusive wedding t-shirts!”

Wedding Day Attire

“I wore a beautiful beaded and sparkly gown from Brides By Young that made me feel like a true bride. John looked so handsome in his tuxedo from Biltmore Tuxedos. Our bridal party looked stunning! The girls wore lavender sequin gowns that shimmered perfectly, and the groomsmen matched in classic tuxes with lavender rose boutonnieres.”

Advice For Other Couples

“My advice for couples is to focus on what truly matters: each other and the love you share. Include personal touches that reflect who you are, and take moments throughout the day to pause and soak it all in.”

Honeymoon

Their Aruba honeymoon was truly unforgettable. “We stayed for a week at the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino on Palm Beach, where we enjoyed incredible food, fun local shops, and the most beautiful ocean views.”

“We loved trying different restaurants each night and browsing the shops. Some of the highlights was our sunset cruise, and we had an absolute blast snorkeling on the Jolly Pirates tour!”
