Kelly and Dicky got married on October 8, 2022, at Bay Head Yacht Club.
“Dicky and I met in high school. I had a crush on him all four years but didn’t tell him until our two-year anniversary,” says Kelly.
Dicky proposed in Jersey City, where the couple was living at the time. They were on a walk with their dog, Casey.
“I wanted a ton of candlelight and white flowers at the reception,” says Kelly. “I also wanted the night to feel like a dance party so we added a ton of disco balls that carried the candlelight all over the walls, floor and ceiling.”
“We were keen on including our two dogs, Casey and Tiger, in our wedding festivities,” says Kelly. “Not only did we capture some precious moments with them after the ceremony, but we also honored them by naming our signature drinks after them and featuring them on our invitations in watercolor portraits.”
“Arriving by boat is a common and charming tradition at Bay Head Yacht Club,” explains Kelly. “Following the ceremony at St. Denis Church and just before the happy hour, we carved out a moment with the bridal party and went for a boat ride.”
“We played music, we danced and popped champagne. This was particularly meaningful to us as it allowed us to celebrate our marriage in a close-knit, intimate setting with our dearest friends and beloved siblings prior to the big reception.”

Kelly’s parents tied the knot at the Bay Head Yacht Club 35 years ago, on October 7, 1988.
“My father’s family has been part of the club since the early 1930s and Dicky and I became members in 2016,” says Kelly. “Getting married there has always been a dream of mine and holds immense significance for my family and me.”
“I knew this dress was the one before I even tried it on,” says Kelly. “From the start, I wanted to do a fun sleeve.”
“Marrying the love of my life of course!” says Kelly about her favorite moment. “But second had to be the boat ride we did with our bridal party between the ceremony and cocktail hour. It was a chance for everyone to take a breath and dance and pop champagne!”
The couple enjoyed time unwinding at Rosewood Baha Mar in the Bahamas.
