How did you meet? We met when we were 14 in Edgewater with mutual friends. We went to different high schools but hung out with the same group of people. We started dating at the age of 14 and were on and off throughout high school. Our freshman year of college we grew apart and didn’t see nor speak to each other for 3 years. In 2013, we bumped into each other out somewhere at the age of 22. We decided to get back together. A year and a half later we found out we were expecting and brought our son Allen-James into this world on July 9th, 2015. On January 14th, two days before my 25th birthday, Allen proposed with our son AJ holding the ring. Details of your day? Sangria was the girls’ dress color. It was very elegant. I had blush pink roses, white roses and purple roses for their bouquets. Very clean and classy. Why did you choose your venue? The food was amazing and I loved the renovations of the hall. What was your wedding menu? We had Alaskan king crabs as a surprise from the Old Tappan Manor during our cocktail hour. On our dinner menu was chicken Marsala, Chilean sea bass and filet mignon. Describe your dress. Why was it “the one” Memories Bridal added all the Swarovski crystals to the belt. They also added the crystals to the sweetheart part of the dress. This was the dress because I wanted something with a lot of lace but bling and I couldn’t find both. I found this dress and I cried because it reminded me of my mother on her wedding day. What was your favorite moment? Our vows at the church First dance song? “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith & John Legend Advice for other brides? Give yourself a year and a half to two year engagement. It makes the planning easier for you and less stressful. Having that gap gives you time to decide on what vendors you want and prices increase every year, so the earlier you book the better for you in the long run when it comes down to paying off your wedding.
