Elizabeth and Tyler wed on July 15, 2023 at Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick. They met on March 16, 2018 during a night out in Hoboken with their respective friends. “Little did we know a typical Friday night would lead to finding our soulmate,” the bride says.
On July 1, 2021, the couple went to Miami with some of Elizabeth’s siblings. After spending the day on the beach, they went out to dinner at the Versace Mansion and got a table right by the fountain where everyone was taking pictures.
“Tyler asked me to take a picture with him in the spot where everyone else was, so I got up to take the picture and Tyler decided to make his move,” she remembers. “He took my hand and got down on one knee asking me to marry him and as I was speechless, all I could do is shake my head yes. With tears rolling down my face, I was the happiest woman alive.”
“We fell in love with this venue from the moment they greeted us during our tour,” Elizabeth says. “Their elegance and knowledge of hosting weddings is remarkable.” They also loved the food, the fact that there’s a hotel on site (Chateau Grande) and that the venue has an outdoor ceremony space and an indoor chapel.
“We wanted an elegant modern bridal aesthetic” with a black and white color scheme, the bride says. Bridesmaids wore champagne and had white long-stemmed roses in their bouquets, while groomsmen donned black tuxedos with suspenders and a single white rose as their boutonniere.
“My favorite moment was walking down the aisle with my dad. It was the first time my husband saw me and it was the first time I saw him. It felt as if we were falling in love all over again,” says Elizabeth.
“For our ceremony we had a lot of details related to Persian traditions. Being that my father is Persian and my mother is American, I wanted to do a mix of both types of ceremonies,” says the bride.
“The day goes by so fast. Try to take it all in and enjoy every little moment! Seeing everyone you love in one place was just the best feeling in the world.”
The couple traveled to Italy and Greece with the help of Wendy Sarama from Edgewood Travel who planned the two-week trip.
