Jenna and Steve wed on June 11, 2022 at Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes.
They met on Hinge and started dating shortly before the pandemic. They quarantined together and quickly became inseparable.
“I had NO idea he was going to propose but strangely enough, the night before we got engaged I had a dream that he proposed to me and he got the ring from Wegman’s (the grocery store!),” says Jenna. “I thought that was so funny and told him and little did I know this sent him into a panic.”
He popped the question after dinner at Il Porto on Lake Mohawk in Sparta. Family and friends, including Jenna’s best friend from Tennessee, went to their house afterward to celebrate.
Jenna grew up in Franklin Lakes and was a member of Indian Trail Club for her entire childhood. “I have some of my happiest memories at Indian Trail,” she says.
“We went with the theme of lakeside summer but added touches of “glam” because that’s my style,” says the bride.
Bridesmaids wore navy blue with white bouquets, and gents wore tan linen suits.
“My favorite moment (besides the actual getting married part!) was walking into cocktail hour and seeing my vision for the day come to life,” says Jenna. “My mom and I spent over a year (I got engaged during Covid so we had plenty of time to plan!) going through each and every detail, from the customized cocktail napkins to renting farmhouse tables to elevate the seating in the reception room. We did not miss a detail and my guests truly recognized that.”
A wedding crest. “This made our wedding tie everything together. We included it on our thank you cards on each place setting (thanking the guests for coming) and had it put on canvases which we displayed over the large fireplaces at the Indian Trail Club,” says Jenna. “It helped us feel like our venue was really custom and looked so gorgeous as decor.”
“Lean on others to help you plan and execute your dreams on the day of and choose your vendors carefully to ensure a completely stress-free day.”
The couple spent a week in Jamaica.
