We met in Hoboken at Texas Arizona. A friend of Jordan’s photobombed a picture of my friends and I, which sparked a conversation between me and Jordan’s friend, Michael. Eventually Michael introduced Jordan and I to each other and it was instant chemistry. We started dating later that May.
After a night in NYC, we stayed at the W Hotel in Hoboken. We walked around, had a lovely brunch at Ainsworth along the Hudson River, and walked up the stairs leading to Stevens Institute of Technology. While on the terrace, I made a joke about how beautiful the scene was and that it would make the perfect engagement spot. As I turned around, Jordan was down on one knee asking me to spend forever with him! Once he convinced me it was not a joke, of course I said, “yes!” We then drove to my house where I thought I would be surprising my mom, but to my surprise, Jordan had planned an engagement pool party with both families and friends. It was unforgettable day!
Our theme was classy backyard wedding. The bridal party had red roses while I had white. All the decorations were created by Jordan mother and my mother.
Backyard was the best choice considering the pandemic, and the Brownstone catered.
Italian everything! Pasta, chicken, eggplant, fish, rice balls, and all the best Italian pastries, zepploes, and of course, chocolate cake.
My dress was simple, elegant with a little glitz. It was an ivory sheath dress with rhinestone straps.
Dancing as husband and wife for the first time under the lights of the patio by the pool.
Dancing with our parents. I danced to a disco melody with my mom,”Brown Eyed Girl” with my dad. Jordan danced with his mom to “I’ll Always Love My Mama”, it was hysterical and perfect.
Covid was enough wrong. All the wrong stuff happened in planning but the wedding day was magical.
