Ayinde & Candice
Candice and Ayinde tied the knot on August 4, 2025 at Perona Farms.
Their Story
Candice Frank and Ayinde Emers-George’s love story was 13 years in the making. At Syracuse University in 2012, a casual hangout where they watched the movie Hitch led to a year-long romance.
It didn’t last, but they both headed to New York City after college. They’d chat now and then between moves and relationships.
“No matter what situation I was in, afterward, she was always my first thought,” says Ayinde, who is a vice president of compliance for Citigroup. Candice, a director of audience development for Sony Music, felt the same.
“The chemistry was always there,” she says. It wasn’t until 2020 that they—both single—reconnected for good.
By then, Ayinde had a daughter, Sofia. For Candice, “Seeing him as a father made it even sweeter.” Two years later, they moved in together.
The Proposal
Ayinde waited until they were dressed up for a family birthday party in October 2024 to propose.
“He held my hands and said he appreciated me,” Candice remembers. “Then he pulled out a ring box, and I started screaming.”
Choosing the Venue
Within weeks, they decided on Perona Farms in Andover. The Reserve—the biggest of three venues on the property—evoked the rustic-elegant Tuscan vibes they’d dreamed of.
Details of the Day
After a nine-month engagement, the couple tied the knot on August 4, 2025.
Floral and linen details featured their favorite oranges and greens. After a ceremony under an open, retractable roof, guests moved to cocktail hour, enjoying food stations while a saxophonist performed.
Wedding Day Attire
Shopping with her mom and sister, Candice found a strapless Jenny Yoo ball gown for the ceremony. For the reception, she went for a glam, custom sheath.
Ayinde donned a custom green Hive & Colony suit.
Detail They Couldn’t Live Without
For their reception entrance, the newlyweds chose songs from—naturally—the movie Hitch: “Now That We Found Love” by Heavy D & the Boyz, and “Ooh Wee” by Mark Ronson featuring Ghostface Killah, Nate Dogg, Trife & Saigon.
Their first dance was a medley of “Spaceship Coupe” by Justin Timberlake and “Look Easy” by Robin Thicke.
Menu Highlights
A lobster tail starter was followed by an entrée of salmon and petit filet, with red velvet cake to finish. Cocktails honored beloved celebrities: a “Beehive Buzz” (Beyoncé) for Candice; a “Mamba Mule” (Kobe Bryant) for Ayinde.
Family Bonding
During the ceremony, Candice and Sofia, who was also the flower girl, shared vows of their own. “I said ‘I do’ for her, and she said ‘I do’ for me.”
Advice For Other Couples
The couple asked their families to take a few photos after the ceremony.
“We banged those out in 15 minutes, which was great,” says Candice. “I don’t know if we would have gotten them all later.”
Ending the Night
The reception went to midnight. A few friends gathered at the wedding party’s Airbnb, conveniently just across the street, to continue the celebration.
