Long gone are the days when “wedding this way” was the only sign found at nuptials. For the contemporary bride, signage is personal and can be found in an array of places—announcing signature cocktails, telling guests which side of the aisle to sit on, notifying attendees of the wedding’s social media hashtag, displaying the evening’s menu, announcing the bride (hint: have your flower girl or ring bearer carry a sign that reads “Here comes your bride” as she or he walks down the aisle), offering directions to the photobooth, imploring guests to dance, romantically sending a message to your groom and even fun “Do Not Disturb” signs for your guests to hang back at the hotel for when they’re ready to retire for the night.

Though the design varies—brides can DIY with chalkboards and glass mirrors, order from a myraid of crafters on Etsy with all different styles or use a local custom stationer—the message is the same: Custom signs are the way to go.
