Sarah Mallouk married Matt Crain at Moonstone Manor in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, on September 10, and besides having a gorgeous wedding, she had the most adorable wedding detail we’ve ever seen: the bridesmaids carrying puppies instead of bouquets!
Since Sarah works at Pitties Love Peace, a nonprofit whose mission is to rescue pit bulls from neglect and find them adoptive homes, she thought her wedding would be the perfect place to showcase a litter of rescue pups. I mean, how could you resist?
While the maids technically did not walk down the aisle with the pups, who would most likely cause quite a distraction during their vows, they were photographed by wedding photographer Caroline Logan. “Who doesn’t love a litter of sweet rescue pups,” she told Mashable. “I was extra excited for Matt and Sarah’s day to arrive.”
The bridesmaids weren’t the only lucky ones to carry the pups…the groomsmen got in on the action as well.
“While photographing six rambunctious puppies definitely brought an added challenge, it also caused the bridal party to be more at ease,” Logan told Mashable.Â
And to make it even more adorable, the puppies, who are all litter mates, were named after some of the First Ladies of the United States: Martha, Abigail, Dolly, Elizabeth and Louisa.
We just did a quick check to the adoption page and none by that name were mentioned, so we’re pretty sure they’ve all been adopted. But there are plenty of other adorable pit bulls ready for a great home.
What a great idea…definitely the best one we’ve heard of in a while.
