“Our brides often offer an elegant Champagne cocktail as their signature drink to each arriving guest,” says Jeanne Cretella, owner of Landmark Hospitality, which manages Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City; Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren; and the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station. One includes the Happily-Ever-After Cocktail.

Happily-Ever-After Cocktail

1.5 ounces fresh lime juice

2 ounces gin

2 teaspoons sugar, plus more for glasses

4 ounces Champagne or sparkling wine

2 or 3 drops grenadine (optional)

Mix lime juice, gin and sugar. Dip 2 glass rims in lime juice, then sugar to coat with 1-inch band. Measure Champagne into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add lime juice and gin; shake. Strain into glasses, adding grenadine to each. Serves 2.
