Fall Fun with your Fiancé

Posted on October 24, 2016 by New Jersey Bride

1. Pumpkin pickingPumpkin PatchWalking through a pumpkin patch with your love is the most ~fall~ activity you can do. Grab some hot apple cider or hot cocoa and find the perfect pumpkins to carve, paint or decorate. If you carve your pumpkins, roasting the  seeds can make a delicious and healthy snack too.

2. Apple picking
Apple Picking at Apple Hills Fruit Farm
If pumpkins aren’t your thing, head to an apple picking field. (Or do both!) Make a tasty apple pie with the apples you pick and really get into the feeling of fall.

3. Haunted house and hayride Haunted HayrideGet in the Halloween spirit with a haunted hayride or a visit to a haunted house.  Some locations offer multiple haunted attractions for a full night of frights. Perfect occasion to hold hands and cuddle up with your fiancé.

4. Fall foliage hikeFall at Smoke Rise BeachThe weather is perfect for a hike through one of the many beautiful trails and parks New Jersey has to offer.. The changing leaves are a  beautiful backdrop to your adventure through the wilderness. Pack some snacks and blanket and stop for a picnic – a lot of trails even have picnic tables and fire pits.

5.  Go to a Fall Beer Festival  Flight of BeerTaste an array of seasonal beers at one of NJ’s beer festivals. If you’re new to drinking craft beer, it’ll be a great opportunity to sample beers you may not have thought to try. And if you already love craft beer, this is the perfect event for you.  Most festivals have live entertainment, games and tasty foods!

6. Go to a Food Truck Festival Mini Food Truck RallyIf beer isn’t your thing, maybe food trucks are. With so many new and delicious food trucks popping up all over the tri-state area, it’s easy to find a fall festival that includes a plethora of food trucks. One popular location worth checking out is Laurita Winery.

7. Have a scary movie night
Joelle and Alex's Movie Theater Date Night
If you’re looking for a more relaxed fall activity, stay home with your honey and have a scary movie marathon. Get some snacks and some wine and cuddle up on the couch (especially during the scary scenes!). Nothing ~screams~ fall like a classic Halloween movie.
