A Candlelit Fall Wedding at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club
When Meg and Eric chose Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club in Farmingdale for their October 10, 2025 wedding, it was a homecoming of sorts—Meg’s family have been longtime members, and the venue had been the backdrop for many of their happiest celebrations over the years. Beautifully photographed by Walter Wall Photography, their fall wedding was a study in refined, minimal elegance: a black-and-white palette carried throughout, white calla lilies at the church ceremony, and elevated centerpieces of hydrangea and roses paired with bud vases and candles floating atop black stones for a warm, candlelit glow across the reception. The Sid Miller Dance Band kept the dance floor packed all night and by Meg and Eric’s own account, the moment they were free from the formalities and could simply be present with everyone they love was the moment the night truly became theirs.
Their Story
Meg and Eric connected on Hinge in 2021, as both were jumpstarting their next chapters in the aftermath of Covid. Eric, working remotely, had recently moved to the Shore from NYC. Meanwhile, Meg had returned from Hoboken to her family home where she worked on her bucket list, including adopting a Golden Retriever and starting a chocolate business.
The Proposal
Meg and Eric are private, no-fuss people, and their engagement suited them perfectly. Eric proposed on the LBI beach at sunset, with not another soul in sight. They celebrated with family and friends later that summer at a casual barbecue.
Choosing the Venue
Meg’s family has celebrated many happy moments at Eagle Oaks, where they are longtime members. Meg and Eric knew the food and service would be top-notch, and the beautiful atmosphere is second-to-none. Eagle Oaks provides great spaces for the bridal party to get ready, and the memorable cocktail hour is over the top!

Details of the Day
A minimal black-and-white theme was reflected in decor and flowers—white calla lilies for church, hydrangea and roses in elevated centerpieces combined with plentiful bud vases for the reception. Candles floating atop black stones placed atop white and black linens created a warm and elegant glow.
Favorite Moment
“While we embraced the traditions and formalities, we actually loved when those were behind us and we could just enjoy the best party ever with our families and friends!” says Meg.
“The Sid Miller Dance Band was amazing; they are so talented and fun, and had everyone dancing all night.”
Wedding Day Attire
Meg wore a strapless, ruched, ivory satin dress with buttons down the back. It included detachable sleeves and a simple cathedral veil for the church. Eric and his groomsmen wore traditional black tuxes, and Meg’s bridal party chose their own black dresses. Three tiny nieces wore ivory dresses with black bows, and the young ring bearer wore a tux!
Advice For Other Couples
“Plan and anticipate as best as you can, and then accept that some things won’t go as planned! (And that’s ok, because it will still be a perfect day filled with happy memories.)”
Honeymoon
Eric and Meg spent a long weekend on LBI and hope to get to Italy next year.
