Their First Look Was on a Red Bridge Surrounded by Cherry Blossoms at The Views at Mt Fuji
When Nicole and Brandon were searching for a wedding venue, the answer had been right in front of them for years. The Views at Mt Fuji in Hillburn, New York—a venue where both had celebrated countless milestones and family events over the years—turned out to be just as stunning for a wedding as it had always been for everything else. Their May 3, 2025 celebration, beautifully photographed by Momo Shot Photography, opened with a first look neither of them will ever forget: a private, intimate moment on the venue’s iconic red bridge, surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom. The palette that followed was light and peaceful—soft blues, pinks, oranges, and creams in the florals by Flowers by Connie Riemer, sage green for the bridesmaids, and light grey for the groomsmen—with what Nicole affectionately described as an almost accidental, subtle Avatar: The Last Airbender theme woven throughout. Guests left with lotto scratch tickets and candy, blew bubbles as the couple exited, and celebrated a love story thirteen years in the making.
Their Story
“We’re high school sweethearts turned best friends turned forever. We’ve been together since 2012, over three states, with two dogs, and one deep rooted love for each other,” says Nicole.
The Proposal
“On our 10th year dating anniversary, Brandon proposed in our first home.”
Choosing the Venue
“We both grew up having celebrated many milestones and family events over hibachi at Mt Fuji,” says Nicole. “Upon learning they host weddings, it was a no-brainer. The venue is gorgeous and was so easy to work with.”

Details of the Day
“There was an almost accidental, subtle Avatar the Last Airbender theme,” says Nicole. “Our colors were light and peaceful, light blues, oranges, pinks and creams for the flowers. Sage green for bridesmaids and table settings, light grey for groomsmen.”
“We had lotto scratchies and candy for favors and had our guests blow bubbles as we exited the ceremony.”
Favorite Moment
“Our first look was perfect. We were on the red bridge surrounded by cherry blossoms for a very private and intimate moment we won’t forget.”
Wedding Day Attire
“I wore a dress from Bijou Bridal in Paramus, my husband had his suit made by Sal Lauretta, our bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen ties were from Azazie, groomsmen suits were from The Black Tux.”
“I wore a diamond necklace and earrings from LaViano, my engagement ring and band were from F. Silverman’s. My husband wore his grandfathers watch.”
Advice For Other Couples
“Take your time and communicate with each other, everything else will fall in place.”
Honeymoon
“We went to St Croix for six days right after the wedding. We stayed at The Buccaneer. We had several massages, went on a bioluminescent kayaking tour, went snorkeling through a reef, did a lot of browsing/shopping through the towns, fed pigs beer in the rainforest, and relaxed.”
