On February 7, 2026, Erika Sensbach and Jason Baumuller exchanged vows during an elegant winter wedding at Hudson House in Jersey City. Their Story

“Our story began with a ‘bee,'” says Erika. “In a world of masks and distance, we found a connection in 2020 that felt right from the start. As things slowly reopened, our digital match turned into real life dates and the life we’ve built together since. It was a modern, simple beginning that led us exactly where we were meant to be.”

The Proposal

“Following the Philly Flower Show, Jason proposed at the Four Seasons overlooking the skyline. Wearing a handmade flower crown from the show I was so shocked I said ‘Thank you!’ then ‘Really?’ before a joyful ‘Yes!’ We toasted that night & celebrated with my parents the next day. A perfect surprise Jason had pre planned to kick off our next chapter.

“Hudson House perfectly captured our vibe and it was important that the venue was a reflection of us. As Jersey City locals, we loved celebrating on our own waterfront. Also as Stork Club members, we get to return to Felina’s to relive those memories often. It wasn’t just a venue for a day; it’s a meaningful part of our life in the city we love.”

Details of the Day

“Against the winter NYC skyline, our black-tie optional evening glowed in shades of black, white, and candlelight. Jason wore a diamond and emerald pin, while my father’s ranunculus matched my bouquet.”

“The ballroom was transformed by tall candelabras and clouds of baby’s breath. After leaving us messages on After The Tone, guests enjoyed donuts as they headed up to the Stork Club after party to allow the celebration to continue overlooking NYC! In lieu of gifts a donation was made to our church.”

“Snow clogged Hoboken streets trapped our bus, forcing an Uber arrival! My cousin the bellman rang the church bells for 20 minutes straight, sparking a police noise complaint and a viral Reddit thread Jason loved.”

“Cold, windy, and yet still classy, it was the most legendary start to our winter wedding and a story we’ll be telling for a lifetime.”

“I wore Allure Bridals Couture from Kleinfeld, featuring a detachable overskirt for three looks in one. Jason wore a Biltmore tuxedo and white tie, while the bridal party donned classic black tie. Each bridesmaid chose her own floor-length black gown in various fabrics, creating a sleek, editorial aesthetic for our celebration.”

Honeymoon

“After saying I do, we escaped to Los Cabos for a seven-day mini moon at a boutique all inclusive resort. We spent our time golfing, whale watching, and indulging in Michelin-star dining. We are saving our big adventure for September 2026. Our South African honeymoon will feature safaris, vibrant cities and wine country!”
