Their Guests Keep Raving About “The Best Cocktail Hour They’ve Ever Been To”

Ashley and Rieley got married on September 12, 2025 at The Rockleigh.

Their Story

Rieley and Ashley met at Purdue University in 2015.

“We became became very close friends all through school and then finally started dating our senior year,” says Ashley. “Even before we were dating I knew he was the one.”

The Proposal

They got engaged on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.

“Rieley organized a beautiful sunrise photoshoot with his whole family, who lives there, and after a couple pictures he got down on one knee,” says Ashley. “When I looked up my entire family and all of our closest friends popped out of the bushes.”

“After the engagement he surprised me with an Airbnb for us to all stay with our closest friends. It was an amazing weekend and he really exceeded my expectations.”

Choosing the Venue

“My mom and I toured probably 10 venues, but when we walked into the Rockleigh we knew immediately,” says Ashley. “Jeff and Natalie were so comforting, they provided everything we were looking for, and the venue itself is absolutely beautiful.”

“We had the best experience possible from the moment we walked in to tour, through the wedding day. They truly went above and beyond for us.”

Details of the Day

Their theme was very classic—black and white with gold accents. “We tried to be as timeless as possible,” says Ashley. “Flowers were all white roses. We had custom menus for the table.”

“Our guests really felt like our biggest detail was the food,” says Ashley. “The Rockleigh went above and beyond with the offerings at cocktail hour—seafood, Italian, chinese, sushi, tacos. Our guests have still not stopped telling us how we had the best cocktail hour they’ve ever been to.”

“Flowers were all Premier Events by Reema, so you know it was the best of the best,” says Ashley.

Favorite Moment

“Other than the ceremony, at the reception I did an outfit change into an insane Nadine Merabi dress that was so fun,” says Ashley. “Dancing in that dress with my husband was definitely my favorite moment.”

Wedding Day Attire

Ashley wore a Rivini gown for the ceremony and a Nadine Merabi after-party dress. Rieley wore a tux from Jos A Bank. The bridesmaids wore an all-black strapless gown from Bella Bridesmaids.

Advice For Other Couples

Ashley strongly advises that other couples get a day-of coordinator.

Honeymoon

The newlyweds went to Dubai and the Maldives.

“We went immediately after the wedding and it was fantastic,” says Ashley. “We were gone for almost two weeks. It was an incredible trip that we will remember forever. The water was as blue as you see online and the people and cuisine were unforgettable.”
