Alexandria and Brett met in high school—but as she’ll tell you, timing was never their strong suit. They parted ways before college, kept talking anyway, and made it official when Brett drove to her campus to ask her to be his girlfriend. For their November 8, 2024 wedding, Alexandria led them straight to New Hope—a town she’d fallen in love with years earlier—and the Logan Inn stopped them in their tracks on the very first venue tour. With its speakeasy atmosphere, stained glass windows, red leather couches, and an attached hotel that made the flow of the day effortless, it was the backdrop their love story deserved. The ceremony was their favorite moment of all—and yes, their puppies walked down the aisle.
Their Story
Brett and Alexandria met in high school. “Although timing was not our strong suit. We didn’t start ‘talking’ until the last two weeks of school. I didn’t want to go to college with a boyfriend. So we parted ways but kept talking and FaceTiming daily. One day in October, Brett came to my college to visit me and asked me to officially be his girlfriend!”
The Proposal
“We got engaged (after 8 years of dating) at Autumn Lake Winery in May. Brett planned a photographer and a surprise party for me after the big moment happened! We got to celebrate together at the winery then with all of our friends and family. It was the perfect day!”
Choosing the Venue
“I had friends from college who took me to New Hope and I fell in love with the town! Then when we started venue shopping, I knew Brett would fall in love with New Hope, too.”

They chose black and white, “since we wanted that red leather couch and the stained glass windows at the venue to stand out,” says Alexandria.
Favorite Moment
“Our ceremony was actually our favorite part. It was absolutely perfect. From the music, to the entrances, to our puppies walking down the aisle, to our friend officiating, to our vows. Everything was just so special. It was a perfect opportunity for our guests to hear our love story and see us become husband and wife.”
Advice For Other Couples
“Remember no one knows the vision in your head. So if something goes wrong or something is missing, just know the guests won’t even notice! They will just love the wedding that they are experiencing. They don’t know what was missing.”
Honeymoon
“We went to Sugar Beach in St. Lucia! Our travel agent, Samantha Shaw from Elli Travel Group was a huge help in finding the perfect resort! St. Lucia was the perfect choice. The locals were lovely and the resort was so serene and elegant. Every need or want was catered to. The island is absolutely stunning as well! We can’t wait to go back!”
